Walk for Animals 2024

Get ready for our annual Walk for Animals!

Join us at Walk for Animals, and raise money to provide food, shelter, veterinary care and new loving homes to over 1,500 animals who WCHS aided and saved this year. Every single dollar YOU raise makes it possible for needy animals to get well and find new loving homes.

It’s time to walk, raise funds, and save lives for an important clause! The event takes place, rain or shine.

We encourage everyone to fundraise. It is easy! Set a fundraising goal and ask 3 or 4 folks for $10, $20, or whatever they can give to help homeless animals.

Aren’t sure you want to ask for donations in person? It is just a few steps to create a Facebook Fundraiser or GoFundMe. Or, you can donate a gift basket.

Gift Basket Donations

We are in need of gift basket donations similar to the one on the left, as well as small items and gift cards that we can combine to make one.

Between 12 and 4 p.m., you can drop off items at the shelter or at the King House next door! Just remember to note "For the Walk" on any donations you drop off!

  • The Walk for Animals takes place rain or shine!

  • We have set a high goal for our 2024 Walk: $30,000. It takes approximately $1,500 a day just to run the shelter!

Setting up a GoFundMe or Facebook fundraiser is a tried-and-true method for "fetching funds" as well! If 100 people set a goal to raise $250 each, our Walk goal will be met!

Fundraising efforts can be paid with cash, check, or MasterCard/Visa/Amex on the day of the Walk.
