At Windham County Humane Society, your generosity helps us save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for people and their pets. To show our gratitude, we created the Friend Giving Society for those who give $500+ each calendar year, and each level comes with unique benefits.

Benefits for each level are in keeping WCHS’s size and ability to manage the Friends Giving Society.

Friends Giving Society Levels

  • Hearts of Gold Friends - Through annual donations of $20,000 or more, Hearts of Gold Friends transforms programs and services, allowing WCHS to plan new ways of helping animals and launch new initiatives.

  • Spectacular Friends - Through annual donations of $5,000 to $19,999, Spectacular Friends fund and grow programs and services. Their unwavering support ensures that daily operational needs are met.

  • Best Friends - Through annual donations of $1,000 to $4,999, Best Friends respond to a plea for help and is always ready to help.

  • Faithful Friends - Through annual donations of $500 to $999, Faithful Friends provide animals with healthy food and routine veterinary care.

  • Direct monetary donations or $500+ cumulatively each year for annual programs and services from individuals and companies. 

    This includes monetary donations to appeals, general gifts, tribute gifts, monthly/recurring donations, gifts from one’s Donor-Advised Funds or IRS Minimum Contribution, and gifts to established restricted funds like the OC Tober Fund.

    Excludes foundation grants, event purchases, sponsorships, adoption fees, in-kind donations, third-party donations, and bequests.
