Wellness Visits

Windham County Humane Society is pleased to offer Wellness Visits including:

  • Basic exams & lab work

  • Vaccines & routine testing

  • Grooming & nail trimming

  • Microchips & ID tags

  • Euthanasia & cremation

  • Flea/tick preventatives

  • Basic dental (prior exam required)

Costs for Preventative Products

Flea/tick treatments, wormer and non-prescription items are available on a sliding scale, based on need. We have the following treatments available:

  • ParaDefense for cats (fleas only) - $7 per dose

  • ParaDefense Advanced for dogs (fleas and ticks) - $10 per dose

  • Effipro Plus for cats (fleas and ticks) - $10 per dose

Cost for Wellness Services

  • Nail trimming - $24

  • Microchip - $30

  • Rabies vaccine - $24

  • Wellness Exam- $36

  • Most vaccinations (other than rabies) and routine tests (e.g., heartworm) - between $18 and $28

  • Private or communal pet cremation is available by appointment. The fees are a flat rate of $135 for Private Cremation (you get the ashes returned) and $35 for Communal cremation (you don't get the ashes returned). Call or email for additional information or to schedule a cremation.

  • Basic exams and dental work - a quote will pop up, depending on what services you select when initiating an appointment

If you are concerned about the cost of services your pet needs, please visit our Pet Care Assistance (PCA) program for details on applying for discounted rates.

We are not a full-service or emergency veterinary clinic. Our veterinarian sees pets twice a week and only by appointment.

By law, we can only dispense prescription drugs if our veterinarian has seen your animal.
