Holiday Appeal

Double Your Donation!

Imagine helping twice the homeless and hurting animals with a single gift. You can do just that.

Between now and December 31, a generous donor will match every dollar you give, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000 in memory of their two beloved pups, Chaplin and Katrina.

What a fantastic opportunity to help twice as many homeless pets in our community.

Yorman’s Story

Yorman should not have been rooting through trash along an isolated dirt road. The gentle dog must have felt defenseless and scared. We don’t know how long he had fended for himself before a kind hiker found him. He suffered from muscle loss, and his fur was full of burdock. He looked like he had nothing to eat or drink in days.

Yorman was desperate for help – and desperate for love. The WCHS veterinary team leaped into action, tending to his injuries and giving him the nutrients his tired body craved. They gave him medicine for his pain, vaccinated and wormed him, and administered antibiotics to curb infection.

And, thanks to friends like you, Yorman was adopted. He will never suffer again!

Twinkle’s Story

Like Yorman, Twinkle arrived at our doors in dire need of care. Walking to school, a pair of eagle-eyed youths noticed the tiny kitten beside Route 30. These little heroes scooped her up and took her to their teacher.

Minutes later, Twinkle was at WCHS, receiving fluids and having her eyes examined. Unfortunately, one eye was too damaged to be saved – but Twinkle’s life was saved!

She is now a beloved member of a happy human and canine family.

Your donation will:

  • Shelter and care for hundreds of homeless and abandoned pets.

  • Provide medicine and life-saving care for pets that arrive sick or injured.

  • Spay and neuter animals to prevent homeless litters.

  • Provide financially disadvantaged pet owners access to low-cost vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, and essential pet care.

  • Stock the Pet Food Pantry.

  • Adopt pets into loving homes.

  • And so much more.

When you give, you save pets’ lives. And as you can see, your donation goes even further than that! You also give people in our community—like the friends who adopted Yorman and Twinkle—the priceless gift of a pet’s unconditional love.
